Fifty continuous years of anything is a long time. A fifty year legacy in music is even less likely to see, but that’s exactly what The Toney Brothers celebrated in 2005...50 years of Christian Music Ministry. The group appears in over 250 concerts a year, spanning all across the United States, Canada and overseas. Organized in 1955, the original group consisted of four actual Toney brothers. Quickly, they became known for their smooth harmony and professional presentation. Soon, they began performing on programs with The Blackwood Brothers; The Statesmen; The Speer Family; The Cathedrals; The Oak Ridge Boys; Bill Gaither and the Stamps. In the past 50 years they have played in some of the largest auditoriums in the U.S. and even had the privilege of performing on programs with such notables as former President George Bush and Art Linkletter. However, no matter where they’ve been or who was there, one thing always remained the same, the ministry of there music. Spreading the eternal message of Christ, without compromise has been the cornerstone of this organization since its inception. That is why they are equally at home whether in a large arena or a small church. The Gospel doesn’t change from place to place and these men deliver that message of hope everywhere they go. Although music has changed over the last 50 years, a musical presentation by this group is sure to bring a smile to Christian music lovers of all styles and ages.
